Bryan Freedman, the attorney for Johnson<\/a> and the other woman, told Page Six: \u201cThe police officer who reviewed the evidence was so concerned for Ashley Johnson\u2019s safety that he went on his own to a judge to get an immediate emergency protective order against Brian W. Foster.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\nFoster previously denied the allegations from the May emergency protective order, which ended last month. A judge denied the \u201cGrowing Pains\u201d alum\u2019s appeal for a restraining order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Now a new civil suit, seen by Page Six, brought by Johnson and six others has brought the case back to court. It reads: \u201cFoster\u2019s threats to extort Johnson by releasing personal information as well as his consistent acts of physical intimidation including but not limited to punching through glass, throwing objects, and screaming obscenities in her face, have left Johnson scared, intimidated, off-balance, confused, traumatized, and under constant duress for years.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The court documents also claim that \u201cJohnson has good reason to believe that Foster would act on his threats or harm her if she were to provoke him or fail to succumb to his will because after breaking up in March 2023, Foster began suspiciously carrying around a large black duffel bag and an ammo case containing two airsoft guns modified to appear as real guns and a garotte which is a strangulation device.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The lawsuit claims that \u201cAfter Foster was forced to leave Johnson\u2019s house by the police due to an Emergency Protective Order, Foster commandeered Johnson\u2019s home security cameras and microphones to monitor her and track her comings and goings.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Foster, 40, was the host of \u201cTalks Machina,\u201d a weekly YouTube talk show where he discussed the events of the Dungeons & Dragons web series \u201cCritical Role.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He has since left the show and, after Johnson\u2019s protective order was made public, his presence was completely scrubbed from the \u201cCritical Role\u201d YouTube channel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The civil suit claims that Foster \u2014 \u201cfueled by drugs and alcohol\u201d \u2014 made \u201cwildly inappropriate and unwanted sexual comments\u201d to Johnson\u2019s sister Haylie Langseth and groped her in front of her children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Foster\u2019s abuse also allegedly extends to women whom \u201che lied to and groomed while still in a relationship with Johnson,\u201d according to the suit, which claims he used his celebrity as power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He lied to women that he and Johnson were in an open relationship \u201cto coax them into submitting to his inappropriate sexual advances,\u201d the suit claims. \u201cBeing the sociopath that he is, Foster often treated these women as sexual objects freely groping them without consent, sometimes in openly public settings. Any woman who refused to submit to his will or who confronted him for any reason was met with a wrath of obscenities, intimidation, and threats.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Another woman known as \u201cJane Doe,\u201d alleges in the same suit that in 2019, Foster \u2013 \u201creeking of booze\u201d\u2026\u201daudaciously and repeatedly groped\u201d her. He then \u201cforcibly attempted to stick his hands down her pants to touch her vagina. Jane Doe fought his public sexual advances and pleaded with him to stop numerous times.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Some months later \u2014 after Foster and Doe stopped communicating \u2014 Foster allegedly sent her sexually violent messages such as \u201cI haven\u2019t seen you in a while but I can\u2019t wait to shove my c\u2013k in your ass.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Adrienne Cho, who worked for \u201cCritical Role\u201d as a Product Design and Development Manager around April 2019 while Foster was a producer, claims in the suit that Foster harassed her and groped her groin while sitting next to her at an event in February 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCho sat in the audience stunned and horrified by Foster\u2019s conduct,\u201d the suit claims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cUnfortunately, Foster continued to grope her for the entire length of the event which was well over an hour. Cho was afraid to come forward with Foster\u2019s misconduct because of his reputation as a threatening and intimidating bully.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Danielle Carr, a producer at \u201cCritical Role,\u201d claims that Foster talked about wanting to have sex with her and touch her breasts. The suit alleges: \u201cHe explicitly and repeatedly told Carr, \u2018I want to bend you over the couch.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He allegedly demanded topless photos of her. \u201cDue to the manipulation by and fear of Foster, Carr felt she had no other choice but to reluctantly comply with his demands. In response, Foster sent Carr an unsolicited naked picture of himself wearing only a trench coat,\u201d the suit alleges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During a Starbucks run in 2019, Foster demanded Carr pull over. \u201cFoster instructed Carr to pull her top up and instantaneously reached over and groped her breast. Foster then proceeded to lean over and lick her breast. When Carr told Foster to stop, he \u201claughed,\u201d the suit alleges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In May 2021, Foster allegedly invited Carr to Johnson\u2019s home to watch the filming on a show they were working on together, then tried to massage and grope her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A fifth woman, Whitney McKeil, also claims that Foster groped her buttocks at a 2021 he attended WITH Johnson, while another, Maude Garrett, alleges she kissed Foster after he told her he was in an open relationship. When she confronted him two months later, he launched a tirade of abuse at her and grabbed a glass as if to throw it at her, the suit alleges. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Page Six has reached out to Foster for comment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Responding to Johnson\u2019s May court filing, Foster said in court documents: \u201cThe real loss for me is the inspiration my story has been to people all over the world who know about my journey through recovery from the use of heroin, alcohol, and other substances I used to self-medicate, and who have been inspired by my stories, my music, and my writing to quit or get help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBecause of these filings, many of the people I hold dear to me now believe me to be relapsed and an abuser.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Foster also noted that he had already \u201cbeen forcibly removed from our shared residence, and obtained my possessions.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
