The suit claims that Alissa is owed shares from the gaming brand stemming from an earlier legal case involving an outside management company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/video-games\/2021\/09\/20\/alissa-violet-faze-clan-lawsuit\/\">reported by The Washington Post<\/a>, the issue began with a convoluted agreement between the social media company that Alissa co-founded, Clout Gang, FaZe Clan, and a management company called Hubrick Limited. In 2018, Alissa, who at the time was in a romantic relationship with FaZe Clan cofounder <a href=\"https:\/\/www.looper.com\/214902\/famous-people-who-cant-stand-faze-banks\/\">FaZe Banks<\/a>, agreed to swap shares of her company with Hubrick Limited to establish the management services the latter organization would provide for both FaZe Clan and Clout Gang. Members of FaZe Clan performed a similar trade with Hubrick Limited using shares from their esports organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That deal quickly went south, however, and by the end of the year, both FaZe Clan and Clout Gang had sued Hubrick Limited for fraud. That legal action ended in a settlement between FaZe Clan and Hubrick Limited, the results of which Alissa feels that she was never financially compensated for. With settlements handled out of court, why is Alissa suing FaZe Clan?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-alissa-violet-is-suing-faze-clan-for-failing-to-deliver-promised-shares\">Alissa Violet is suing FaZe Clan for failing to deliver promised shares<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>So why does Alissa feel she is entitled to FaZe Clan shares? <a href=\"https:\/\/dev.creativespikedigital.com\/lftc\/attorneys\/bryan-j-freedman\/\">Alissa&#8217;s lawyer, Bryan Freedman<\/a>, told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/video-games\/2021\/09\/20\/alissa-violet-faze-clan-lawsuit\/\">The Washington Post<\/a>, &#8220;Faze Clan is being sued because it specifically promised to compensate Alissa when it asked her to relinquish her Hubrick stock and asked her to dismiss her claims against Hubrick and others.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When Alissa and Clout Gang joined forces with FaZe Clan against Hubrick Limited, the YouTuber relinquished her claims against and stock in Hubrick Limited in an apparent attempt to streamline the process. According to the lawsuit, she would receive FaZe Clan stock once the suit was resolved equal to her lost stock investment in Hubrick Limited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, that payment allegedly never happened. As Freedman explained, &#8220;If Faze Clan simply abided by its promise to compensate her, Alissa would not have had to sue Faze Clan.&#8221; A response emailed by FaZe Clan CEO Lee Trink attempted to minimalize the disagreement and suggested it could be handled out of court. Trink wrote, &#8220;On this particular matter we&#8217;re in close communication and confident it&#8217;ll be resolved amicably.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Considering FaZe Banks and Alissa&#8217;s highly public Twitter breakup, via <a href=\"https:\/\/thetab.com\/uk\/2019\/12\/04\/faze-and-alissa-twitter-134386\">TheTab<\/a>, fans will just have to wait and see how amicably the issue will be resolved.
