But according to the lawsuit filed January 5, Purveyors of Pop, Bravo, NBC, and Fremantle \u201cacted illegally and unethically which includes but is not limited to\u201d:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Breach of Contract.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Breach of Joint Venture Agreement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Breach of the covenant of good faith and fair dealing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Failure to prevent retaliation and harassment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Unauthorized exploitation of \u201cMarried To Medicine\u201d &amp; Married To Medicine the Series.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis lawsuit was filed today as a result of the defendants stealing Mariah Huq\u2019s creation&nbsp;<em>Married to Medicine<\/em>&nbsp;and not paying her royalties, giving her proper credit for spinoffs, etc., and treating her with discriminatory practices,\u201d&nbsp;<em>All About Tea&nbsp;<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/allaboutthetea.com\/2021\/01\/06\/exclusive-mariah-huq-suing-bravo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reported<\/a>&nbsp;in a video about the lawsuit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<iframe class=\"desktop mobile\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/4IrlIqd79GQ\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The complaint is twenty pages long and lays out a significant number of discriminatory practices by NBC\/Bravo\/Fremantle and Purveyors of Pop against Mariah Huq.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the report, an intellectual property and discrimination complaint has been filed by <a href=\"https:\/\/dev.creativespikedigital.com\/lftc\/attorneys\/bryan-j-freedman\/\">Mariah Huq and her attorney&nbsp;<strong>Bryan Freedman<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;against NBC\/Bravo\/Fremantle and Purveyors of Pop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During an interview with the publication, Huq, who is Muslim, alleged that producers told her she couldn\u2019t wear a hijab during filming. Huq asserted that there was an apparent disparity in how she was being treated as an executive producer versus her white counterparts, such as&nbsp;<strong>Lisa Vanderpump<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She also noted she wasn\u2019t allowed to returnfor the show\u2019s eighth season that she created. She believes the network would have never dreamed of if she wasn\u2019t Black.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>theGrio<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/thegrio.com\/2020\/12\/21\/nene-leakes-petition-boycott-rhoa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">previously reported<\/a>&nbsp;that former RHOA star,&nbsp;<strong>Nene Leakes<\/strong>, was also looking to take legal action against the network. The TV personality posted a #BoycottBravo&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.change.org\/p\/boycott-bravo-tv-nbc-universal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">petition<\/a>&nbsp;to her Twitter, blasting Bravo for not treating the \u201cBlack women who created shows\u201d fairly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018Y\u2019all ready to start this boycott yet?
