I led with transparency and my desire and hope for real change.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to&nbsp;<em>Variety<\/em>, Union claims she and Hough were also subject to \u201cexcessive notes\u201d on their physical appearance, with Union being told her hairstyles were \u201ctoo black\u201d for&nbsp;<em>AGT<\/em>\u2018s audience. Union has not yet released an official statement about the allegations. Hough, who denied having a negative experience on the show, spoke out in support of Union Dec. 5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Show creator and judge Cowell has reportedly enlisted tenacious longtime Hollywood litigator Larry Stein as his legal representation. (<a href=\"https:\/\/dev.creativespikedigital.com\/lftc\/attorneys\/bryan-j-freedman\/\">Union is working with Megyn Kelly\u2019s former attorney Bryan Freedman.<\/a>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Still, many involved are hopeful for a positive outcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe initial conversation was candid and productive,\u201d an NBC spokesperson said in a statement to PEOPLE about their sit-down with Union.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhile there will be a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/tv\/nbc-launching-investigation-americas-got-talent-after-meeting-gabrielle-union\/\">further investigation<\/a>&nbsp;to get a deeper understanding of the facts, we are working with Gabrielle to come to a positive resolution,\u201d said the
