Said document was&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dexerto.com\/entertainment\/tfues-controversial-fa-ze-clan-contract-reportedly-leaked-amid-legal-battle-652493\" target=\"_blank\">reportedly leaked a few weeks later<\/a>, giving everyone an inside look and why he was making a complaint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The two parties have gone back and forth, with<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dexerto.com\/entertainment\/fa-ze-banks-explains-why-hell-never-forgive-tfue-643268\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&nbsp;FaZe Banks making an emotional 20-minute long video<\/a>&nbsp;giving his side of the story.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While things went quiet for a little while, FaZe returned fire in early August by&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dexerto.com\/entertainment\/faze-clan-countersues-tfue-betrayal-breach-of-contract-871248\" target=\"_blank\">counter-suing Tenney for &#8216;betrayal&#8217; and breach of contract<\/a>. Yet, that counter-complaint has been seen as an absolute gift by <a href=\"https:\/\/dev.creativespikedigital.com\/lftc\/attorneys\/bryan-j-freedman\/\">Tfue\u2019s lawyer Bryan Freedman<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking to theScore esports, breaking down the latest filing in the case, Tfue\u2019s representative explained: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThe real fact is that FaZe Clan asked the labor commissioner to try and delay that case &#8211; to try to avoid responsibility for violating California\u2019s talent agency act by operating as an unlicensed talent agency.<\/p>\n<cite>Bryan Freedman<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<iframe class=\"desktop mobile\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/0CIzgyzYmig\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThey\u2019re trying to avoid judgment day in the state of California by picking a jurisdiction of New York that has nothing to do with anything other than to allow them to violate California law.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<cite>Bryan Freedman<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Freedman also added that FaZe claimed they wouldn\u2019t try and collect on money owed to them in the contract and now he was confused that they were coming for that cash.&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While if that wasn\u2019t enough to sell his side of the argument, Freeman also noted that he was close to celebration when he discovered that the counter-case had been filed in New York and not California.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cAfter I read the complaint, I actually had to check the date on the calendar because I thought it was Christmas &#8211; I thought someone had given my client a present,\u201d he said. \u201cThis complaint filed in New York is an absolute gift.\u201d<\/p>\n<cite>Bryan Freedman<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Whether or not Freedman gets his \u201cabsolute gift\u201d still remains to be seen as the two parties have not yet appeared in&nbsp;court and there have been no further updates since the start of August.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As ever, when things do change on that front, we will keep you updated with all the latest news.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The lawyer of&nbsp;Fortnite&nbsp;star Turner \u2018Tfue\u2019 Tenney has explained why&nbsp;FaZe Clan\u2019s lawsuit of his client is \u201can absolute gift,\u201d and noted how he was close to celebration when he received the&nbsp;complaint.
