Sumner Redstone\u2019s live-in girlfriend, Sydney Holland, is a control freak who forced the staff at his LA mansion to take polygraph tests after her laptop went missing and then had most of them fired, according to court documents filed on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Redstone, the majority owner of CBS and Viacom, is being dragged into a bitter court battle between Holland and his former protegee Heather Naylor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Holland, 43, is suing Naylor, 33, for $1 million \u2014 claiming the star of the short-lived MTV show \u201cThe Electric Barbarellas\u201d stole her laptop computer containing \u201cprivate and confidential\u201d photographs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That usually means X-rated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Naylor countersued, charging that Holland used her influence, as she took control of Redstone\u2019s life, to get the show canceled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Redstone is 91 and worth $6.2 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Redstone reportedly pushed MTV execs to air the show \u2014 about a girl group described as a cross between the Pussycat Dolls and the Spice Girls, but raunchier \u2014 and gave Naylor $157,000 worth of Viacom stock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In motions filed Friday, Naylor\u2019s pit bull lawyer Neville Johnson states, \u201cBecause Holland is a beneficiary under Redstone\u2019s will, she did not like that Redstone was spending his time and his resources with a free thinker like Naylor.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Court papers state that \u201cHolland grew jealous of Naylor\u2019s relationship with Redstone and made efforts to cut off all ties between Redstone and Naylor so that Holland could control Redstone for her own economic advantage.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Holland allegedly had all the phone numbers changed so Naylor couldn\u2019t reach Redstone \u2014 and all of Naylor\u2019s contacts removed from Redstone\u2019s database so that he couldn\u2019t reach her, a source familiar with the case told me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Since moving into his Beverly Park mansion in LA, Holland has fired most of the household staff, including Carlos Martinez, Redstone\u2019s butler for 13 years, whom Holland is also suing on grounds that he conspired in the computer theft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Holland doesn\u2019t trust newly hired staff either.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cShe forces them to take weekly polygraph tests,\u2019 said one source.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sydney Holland\u2019s decision to sue Mr. Martinez is the biggest mistake she has ever made.<\/p>Martinez\u2019 lawyer Bryan Freedman<\/a>\u00a0told the Hollywood Reporter<\/a>.<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
Holland, who claims to be a nationally respected marketing executive, luxury brand leader, philanthropist, producer and entrepreneur, allegedly met Redstone through a dating Web site that matches millionaire men with younger women.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A spokesperson for Sumner, who is not a party to the litigation, had no comment. The next court date is Aug. 14.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
