Well, kind of \u2013 it\u2019s conditional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe settlement agreement conditions dismissal of this matter on the satisfactory completion of specific terms that are not to be performed within 45 days of the date of the settlement,\u201d says the January 27 filing (<a href=\"https:\/\/pmcdeadline2.files.wordpress.com\/2015\/02\/kate-walsh-settlement.pdf\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">read it here<\/a>). An order from Judge Ruth Ann Kwan has set a dismissal hearing on the matter for March 11 (<a href=\"https:\/\/pmcdeadline2.files.wordpress.com\/2015\/02\/kate-walsh-settlement-jan-30-order-1.pdf\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">read it here<\/a>) though that could be pulled if both sides say everything is OK or not. However, I hear that all sides are happy with how things have been worked out. No details on what the settlement entails or what the so-called specific terms are, but with the dismally rated&nbsp;<em>Bad Judge<\/em>&nbsp;canceled by NBC back in October and having finished its 13-episode run on January 22, it\u2019s not like there is going to be a ton of commission cash for the two sides to fight over. Likely this will all be over for sure in the spring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Walsh first sued Evolution over their demands for commissions on her projects back&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2014\/09\/kate-walsh-lawsuit-bad-judge-commissions-managers-843013\/\">on September 29 last year&nbsp;<\/a>in LA Superior Court. Having left Evolution over a year beforehand for \u201cfailure to provide the promised services,\u201d the ex-<em>Private Practice<\/em>&nbsp;actress didn\u2019t think they had a right to 10% of her dough. \u201cMs. Walsh believes that she should not be responsible to pay Evolution all, or any part, of the commissions demanded, and seeks guidance from this Court to determine the proper amount, if any, that she should pay to Evolution,\u201d said the 4-page filing last fall. Responding on January 13, Evolution\u2019s lawyers argued that the whole thing should be tossed out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Guess those conflicting positions are all worked out now \u2013 at least conditionally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now repped by Untitled Management and CAA, <a href=\"https:\/\/dev.creativespikedigital.com\/lftc\/attorneys\/bryan-j-freedman\/\">Walsh was repped\u00a0legally by attorneys Bryan Freedman<\/a> and Steven Stiglitz of LA\u2019s Freedman &amp; Taitelman. (Freedman also is the attorney for Deadline\u2019s parent company, PMC.)
